Vintage Leather Briefcase Attache
This is an amazing piece, it appears this was an item that was issued or distributed through the Federal Government. I'm not sure if this was intended for a doctor, or office use. Included are Federal stamps and specs for the model type. Made of a very sturdy leather, with brass Presto lock closure, inside has 2 dividers, which are also made of leather. This has a pieced design, leather wrapped handle and topstitch accents, opens with metal jaw-like hinges.
You can tell this is quite old (vintage), the exterior shows scuffing, back has remainder tape which I did not attempt to remove. I did not do any clean-up on this case...the vintage patina is simply wonderful as it is. Saddle soap or mink oil would rejuvenate this immensely if you so desire.
