This is a beautiful art deco brooch, with an oval cut center stone. The stone is quite large, hand-set (prongs) being an amber or citrine colored glass. Leaves grace each side of the stone, with filigree and cut-out design.
This is an estate piece, I was told this is circa 20's-30's. The back has the original style C-clasp with no closure, indicative of the 20's-30's jewelry designs.
Condition is very good, stone is nice and clear. The brass has just enough antiquing to give this a wonderful vintage patina. Polishing would remove this, but that would take away the charm of this unique piece. This is a gorgeous brooch perfect for lapels, sweaters or hats.
